Sydney woke up earlier than Kendall did from their nap today and she shared some string cheese with me for a snack. She loves it and was making this "hmmmm" sound the whole time. When it was all gone, she asked for more. I told her we had to wait for Sissy to wake up so that she could have some too. It was a good enough reponse for her!
Sydney and Kendall arrived on August 16th, 2006, in Vancouver, Wa. Here are their day to day activites to keep up with family and friends.

Ode to Grandma
Grandma loves popcorn and so do the girls. (probably because of Grandma in fact) When she lived here with us, whenever we went to Target ( which was relatively frequently) she would get a popcorn and share it with the girls. In fact, Kendall even said "Gam-ma" a few times while eating it...melt my heart! So this one is for you Grandma...wish you were here to share it with us
Night Night
So...who do the girls prefer to say goodnight to first when the go "night night." I wish I could say that it was Mama and Daddy, but unfortunately...it is neither of us! Kendall could really care less who she says goodnight to first, but it is always one of three animals that sits on their window sill in their room. From left to right (lol)...we have Mr. Frog, Mr. Monkey, and Mr. Donkey. Sydney on the other hand has become pretty particular about many things, one of which is who she says goodnight to first. Sydney prefers to say goodnight to...Mr. Donkey first. Don't ask me why. Other things she has become particular about are her shoes. Everytime we ask them to go get their shoes, she consistently picks the same pair of brown shoes. When you try to convince her otherwise, like "let's wear the pretty pink shoes!" (full of excitement) she gets pretty mad and shakes her head with an emphatic "no" and once again attempts to hand you the same pair of brown shoes. Also, she is particular about what color sippy cup she uses. Again also, Kendall could care less! Sydney, when asked with a line up of cups, which one she wants...always picks the orange cup. Even if it is dirty and she can see it on the counter and you try to hand her oh...let's say a blue or purple cup...she shakes her head and continues to point to the counter at the dirty orange cup! She must be a subconscious Browns fan. Brown and Orange...UGH!
Tonight while I was picking up the disaster of downstairs, I came into our room and I found the girls reading to themselves with a variety of books. Kendall was actually under the covers laying their with her book in the air. It was pretty darn cute. I love them!!

Snoqualmie Falls
All of us at the bottom
Today we had the best weather we have had all year. A sign on our way home said 80 degrees, although this is not an official reading...but you get the point. It was gorgeous!!
We took the girls on a 30 minutes road trip to Snoqualmie Falls. We started at the top and took a 1/2 mile hike down to the bottom. It was pretty steep and we carried the girls most of the way. It was nice to finally get out of the house and into the great outdoors. We are looking forward to more nice weather like today.

Happy Birthday Amanda and Uncle Kris!
We had a BBQ last night and some friends of ours came over. Amanda's Birthday is today so we celebrated last night with everyone. We had good burgers and also had a nice night!
Happy Birthday Amanda
Happy Birthday Amanda
Here is the candle Kendall bit a chunk out of after she saw all of us licking the frosting off of the candles. She got the wrong idea though...and it was pretty darn funny! You don't eat the candles silly goose! It was Uncle Kris's birthday yesterday and we wish he were here to cook out with us and celebrate. Happy Birthday Uncle Kris! Hopefully we can see you soon...

Bubble Blower
Sydney discovered a new trick this morning at breakfast with Dad.
As you will see...
They both got a big kick out of it!
