Man is it HOT

What a face!

Pretty blue eyes!

Yummy

I don't know about this...

It has been pretty warm here in Portland the last few days. The girls had there first popsicles for some relief from the heat

Angel's Rest

This weekend, Brandon came down to visit us and on Memorial Day we took the girls hiking up Angels Rest. This is their longest hike to date (4.5 miles round trip) and they were fabulous the entire time! It turned out to be a beautiful day and the hike was busy with lots of holiday hikers like ourselves. It took us about an hour and a half to get to the top and the views were amazing. On the way down, we noticed a helicopter flying above us. At first, we thought that they were there trying to get an arial view of 84 traffic. It stayed there the whole way down however, so we started to think something was wrong. Last few minutes of the hike we passed search and rescue. Turns out a hiker got lost somewhere and had called 911. When we got to the parking lot, it had been block off by search and resuce. All the news stations were there. While we were putting our things in the truck, a reporter came over and started talking with us. She asked Brandon if he wouldn't mind talking with her for a minute. So...Brandon made the late night news! My mom saw him on KATU. Unfortunately I missed it as I was busy finishing a group project at Natalie's. Oh well though...I was there when it was live! So...that sums up our holiday hike. Here are some photos of us and the girls...ENJOY

(we had someone say "GO BLUE" to us on our way up...note Brandons Tshirt!)

Starting Early

So, yesterday while we were getting stuff ready for the BBQ, I thought, "oh, we have a Black Butte in the fridege...I will take it to the BBQ." (it's my favortite beer) I sat it down next to the diaper bag and continued to get other stuff ready before we headed out. When I turned around, Miss Kendall Rose had found my Black Butte and was enjoying it quite thoroughly! Had to have a little chat with her about the drinking age being 21 and it was a little to early to start drinking...

Breakaway

So, now that the girls are pretty mobile, we usually block off the living room with pillows and their walkers so that they don't stray too far. Today, Sydney broke free from the confinement and here she is super proud of her huge accomplishment!

Random Pics of the Gals

Here are some pics of the girls from this week...enjoy!

Hug Point at the Coast

We went to the coast today and the girls got to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time! They did great and loved the sand. Bush and Natalie ( and Izzy ) went with us and we all had a great time. We walked the coast and explored some caves. And the girls, of course, loved Izzy. So, here are some pics at the water. Hope you enjoy. There is a video below as well.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!

"You're so funny Mom!"

Out with the old...in with the new

Kendall Rose Sydney Lee

Remember how the girls favorite toys were their spoons...well forget that! Their new favorite toy happens to be my ID badge for school. I was so happy when Kendall's face would light up when I got home. I thought, " she really misses me!" Then I would pick her up and I would realize that it wasn't me she was so excited about, but it was my ID hanging from my neck. She immediately would sieze it and then get mad because it was around my neck. So, she has found her new favorite toy. Of course, then Sydney wanted it too, and then the fighting and tugging began. So, I had another one for the wellness center and now they each have their own ID badge. Phew...that was a close one. I have a sense this is going to be a problem as they get older. "She has one, now where is mine?"
