Sunset in Seattle

What a beautiful evening outside the back door!

GO BUCKS!

BEAT GEORGETOWN!!

The train

So, the other day I was sitting at the computer in the kitchen doing some emailing and the girls were in the living room in their walkers. About 10 minutes had gone by and all of a sudden I heard this grunting noise. I looked up and this is what I saw:

Kendall and Sydney in a kitchen traffic jam trying to get to me at the table. Kendall was grunting because Sydney wasn't moving, therefore Kendall wasn't moving either. It was hysterical. They both just looked at me and had these huge grins on their faces. I had to record their train adventure through the kitchen to me. Kendall,. of course continued her grunting in frustration with her sisters slow pace. She is much more advanced in the world of walking in walkers!

So, enjoy...

Mmmmm

Here is a side note for the new video. Sydney loves...loves...loves to eat. Everytime she does, she savors every bite. Listen while watching and you will know exactly what I mean!

"There's no crying in baseball"...

Unless you live in the Chrisopulos household, and in that case...there is plenty of it! Crying that is. It has been a rough few weeks here in Seattle. Ear infection, teething, fevers, and crankiness! Maybe boredom sprinkled in there somewhere too! And to top it all off, Grandma got the flu. Poor thing! I know that today is the first day of spring, so I am anxious for the weather to clear up and we can get these girls outside more. Then maybe they wouldn't be so

"Not this again...WHAAAAAH!"

On a more positive note, Kendall Rose had the best night sleep of her life last night. She went down without screaming and she was awake when we layed her down. Granted, she was in our bed, but we weren't in there with her! She actually put herself to sleep. Then, we moved her to her crib and she never woke and slept until 7:00 this morning. I seriously thought something had happened to her and went to check. All was well.

Also, she has finally decided that she will eat solid food, and so far her favorite are sweet peas (YUCK...I hate peas) but she loves them and yesterday was the first day she ate both meals without launching half of what we put in her mouth out onto her highchair. YEAH!

Sydney is the fussier of the two lately. I am not sure why, but it could be a combo of the ear and teething. Tylenol seems to help. So...

Baseball season is off to a rough start here, but hopefully it will start improving here soon!

New Kicks

RETAIL THERAPY!!!

Kendall

Sydney

Well, we have finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel...meaning the girls are no longer sick! It was a rough week with the two of them. As you know, Sydney has her ear infection, but to make matters worse, they both reacted to the shots they got last week. Both were vomiting and had a fever, so it was no fun. But, thankfully they are getting back to themselves again and we are slowly trying to get back into our schedule. So, yesterday, my mom and I treated ourselves to a little retail therapy! We bought the girls four new pairs of shoes, two sun hats, and sippie cups. We had a good time and it was nice to get out of the house. We brought all the stuff home and showed the girls. Tried on the new kicks and they both were very perplexed like "what the heck are these contraptions on my feet?" Needlesstosay, they both managed to kick at least one off , if not both of them. They were so funny with the shoes...they will definitely take a while to get used to. So, here are the girls with their new stuff. Can't wait til the rain goes away and we will actually get to use it!

Ear Infection

Well, it has finally happened. One of the girls is sick. Sydney has an ear infection. Grandma and I both noticed some pulling and tugging on the ears and she was really fussy, which is not like Sydney. So I took her to the doctors, and she is now on antibiotics. She seems OK though, and she was so happy to get back home to Kendall. She started laughing at her as soon as she saw her. Hopefully the meds will start to make her feel better soon. Boy, she is smart though. The girls were at the doctors on Friday, and had to get poked three times. When we went back today, she knew she was at that terrible place...THE DOCTORS. Soon as we got into the room, she started to cry. Poor thing! She did good though considering. Sorry for the bad news to report, but she will be OK.

First Bubble Bath

Kendall Rose

Girls took their first bath together last night, and it was a bubble bath! They love the water as you can see on the video. Here are a few still pics. Oh, and things will go much more smoothly once we get some bath seats, which we are working on. Things can get a little slippery!

Helping Grandma Rearrange Her Room

The girls decided to help Grandma rearrange her room today. They just got up from a nap, so were very happy to help. Plus, they wanted to show off their new outfits (well, they have had them for quite some time, but just now fit them!)

Baby Idol Correction

So...apparently Kendall has made the Baby Idol competition. I found her picture on the website today!!! I had emailed them and asked why her picture wasn't up, no reponse, but I guess they decided to allow identical twins to enter separately. I take back all the mean things I said about the radio station. I feel better now that they both are up...I wanted to see them both.

Voting day for Kendall is Wednesday night beginning at 6 pm PST and Friday night for Sydney at the same time. I went to the site again and apparently you have to sign up as a listener to the station in order to vote. I did, of course, but do not feel obligated to. I wasn't aware that this was part of the voting situation. Either way, hopefully they will make the top 100. Oh, and top prize is $925 from BECU and $1000 gift card to Babies R' Us. That's a ton of diapers...which we need! LOL

ps. remember, first group goes up in a few hours.

Spring is in the air

Today was a beautiful day in Seattle. Felt like spring! We decided to take advanage of the weather and take the girls for a walk around our complex. Grandma had never seen the office, the gym, or the playgrounds so we gave her the grand tour. It was so nice to get out and get some fresh air. The girls loved it too. After we got back home, we made a little spot outside and let the girls play for awhile. Sun was out and it was so nice! Nap time came up really fast though...I think the girls were wiped out by all the activity. In fact, Sydney (our champion sleeper) fell asleep before we even made it back into the house. Kendall soon followed after a good rocking from Grandma. Hope the weather is just as nice wherever you are...Spring is just around the corner.

Baby Idol

Kendall and Sydney have been entered into Baby Idol on Movin 92.5 FM. It is the search to find the cutest baby in Seattle, and as luck would have it, I have two of them! Over 1200 babies have entered the competition, and the field will be narrowed starting tomorrow at 6 pm PST.

So here is how it works...at least my understanding of it:

1200 babies were entered and beginning Monday at 6 pm, they will put up the first block of pictures to be voted on. From this, the top 20 babies will be picked for the final 100. This same thing will happen every day at 6 pm until Friday, when the last 20 will be picked. Voting is open from 6 pm on posting day to 6 pm the following day for that particular block of pics. Once the top 100 have been selected, then new voting begins...I think?

So, here was the problem though. Apparently Kendall has been disqualified because she has an identical twin sister! Crock of you-know-what since there were no rules stating you couldn't enter identical twins separately. After all, they are two different people...but don't get me started on that! So, we only have Sydney to vote for. And we must do it for the both of them...if one is a winner, then so is the other.

Here is the picture of Sydney so you know what it looks like if she makes one of the blocks to be voted on. ( I think the radio station picks who makes the cut for the voting...keep your fingers crossed) So, if you see Sydney's picture, you can vote as many times as you like...I will leave that up to you!
Either way it works out...
We all know we have the TWO cutest babies in Seattle!!

Here are some recent pictures of the girls playing just before bed. They are hilarious and love to laugh at eachother in their walkers. They both are almost sitting unaided. Getting so big...
