Latourell Falls Hike

We took the girls for their second hike in the Gorge. Latourell Falls was supposed to be a 1 mile roundtrip hike, "easy for kids" In classic Brandon fashion, he did not read the entire description and therefore we missed the "small foot bridge" we were supposed to take to make the hike an easy 1 mile. We ended up going over 1.5 miles and mostly uphill. Sydney did the whole thing all by herself! Kendall went up the whole way and had to be carried part of the way down, but otherwise she did great too. We were both really impressed. More the two different sets of ADULTS we crossed paths with made comments about it being a hard hike for little girls. They were impressed too! We did ask them the next day if they wanted to go on another hike and their answers were emphatically "no," so we took a break from another hike, but there will be many more to come in the future I am sure!
Great job ladies, Mommy and Daddy are so proud

Revisited

We headed back to McMenamin's Edgefield after our second hike with the girls. They were very excited about going back to where Mommy and Daddy got married. We ate at the Power Station Pub where we had our rehersal dinner. Kendall was cold and asked to wear my coat.

Visit from Evan

We had a friend from our play group in Seattle come through for a short visit. Evan had a great time with the girls and it was so good to see him! Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Hugs and kisses goodbye

Bush's Birthday Weekend

So this is not where we stayed...but it will be my house someday! HAHA
Don't you love the red door!

This is the cabin we stayed in. It was super cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway to celebrate Bush's birthday. We had a great time catching up, playing games, drinking, etc. You get the point! Happy Birthday Bush!

We went on a small walk the first night to find the river and this was found along the rail of a bridge we crossed. I am convinced Brandon jogged ahead at some point in time and did this just for me, although he denies it vehemently. Can you believe that??? He loves me...he really loves me!!

NOT ADVISED. Then I got to watch Luke walk across the whole bridge on the railing! Held my breath the whole time!

Climber Brandon decided it would be a good idea to climb UP into the bridge from underneath and got crapped on by some bird! Lesson learned!

Getting ready to play Catch Phrase

Air guitar

Love this picture even though the lighting is poor...Luke is braiding Danelle's hair!

Izzy!

Natalie had just purchased this fancy new chair. Super light weight, folds down to next to nothing...and you balance on it. I loved it, but the boys were not too fond.

Classic!
