How about you you you...
We took the girls to the Portland Zoo this weekend. We had a good time, although it was really hot outside. The girls did good though and we got to see most of "Africa" the "Rainforest" and "Tundra" We skipped the "Great Northwest" however and a few others. We will have to take them back to see the rest that we missed.
Kendall made a friend with the eldest Orangutang. Kendall was standing at the window, which happend to be low enough so that her head was just seeing over the top of it. The orangutang, which has been at the Zoo since 1961, saw Kendall's little head peeking over the top of the window. She bee-lines it right to Kendall and placed her head up against the window right eye-level with Kendall. She just sat and stared right at her. It was pretty cool! Kendall, only inches away from her, was so excited she let out her half-fake cough/laugh that she likes to do when she is excited. (Similar to what she does when she sees all the cats outside the window at home)
Unfortunately the camera was with Brandon and Sydney who were walking around looking at the other monkeys so I didn't get a pic. But...I think that she really liked Kendall and they seemed to have a "moment!"

Thank you so much for sharing these incredible times with me. Jamie, I am laughing out loud at your sub titles. Congratulations on making it through your first year, Brandon. I never expected anything less. You both have had a blessed as well as challenging year. I am proud of you!
