Yesterday Brandon, the girls, and I went on a hike in Mt. Ranier National Forest. We found the hike in a book we have about hikes for kids in the Cascades. The weather was crappy and cold. Probably a high near 60, cloudy, and sprinkling. To top it off...the book underestimated the distance and degree of difficulty, and with carrying near 30 lbs. on your back made for little "fun." But the scenery was nice and the water was crystal clear and blue. Would have been great if it hadn't felt like winter instead of summer. Oh well...some are good and some are not so good. Yesterday this one fell under "not so good." At a different time and under different circunstances it may be different. We will see the next time...if there is one!
